As a keen but amateur historian with a passion for the First World War I visited the Somme battlefields for the 90th Anniversary of this terrible battle. I am researching my grandfathers experiences during his time with the 11th battalion Kings Liverpool regiment and as he is my hero I owed it to him to be there. It was a moving but unforgettable experience. I have produced a booklet about my grandfathers experience at Delville Wood. It is a combination of his memoirs and research with photographs of the wood today. It is available for £5.00 plus £1.00 postage and packing.
